EZgenetm Blood RNA Purification
Extract Total RNA from Blood Samples.
Isolate total RNA from up to 1 mL of blood sample that has been pre-treated with EDTA, heparin, or acid-citrate-dextrose within 30 minutes.
This kit first removes red blood cells that have been lysed with the RBC lysis buffer. WBC's are lysed next, with RNA binding to matrix reversibly. Elute the RNA with DEPC water. Proteins and other contaminants are removed with the RNA Wash Buffer.
Only traces of genomic RNA will exist in the sample; these can be removed as needed with DNAse I. The protocol (included with the kit) details this procedure.
