EZgenetm Forensic gDNA Extraction (Body Fluids)
Extract Genomic DNA from Body Fluid Samples.
This forensic gDNA kit allows purification of genomic DNA from whole blood, serum, plasma, semen, mouse tail snips, buccal swab, eye swab, nasal swab, hair, nails, feathers, and dried body fluid spots.
Phenol / chloroform extractions and IPA / EtOH precipitation are not necessary.
Whole blood samples can be fresh, frozen, or anticoagulated.
This kit is also good for extracting DNA from dried blood.
Typically, 2 elutions (100 µL ea.) will yield about 10 to 40 µg DNA from a 30 mg tissue sample. 30 mg or 107 cells is the maximum recommended tissue sample size for the kit.
Each EZ-Bind column can bind up to 100 ug DNA.
