Made in USA "Half and Half" Basalt / Zinc Ore pendant in sterling silver wirewrap. The basalt / diabase rock locally known as "camptonite" formed intrusive bodies in the Franklin orebody. This stone was cut so the basalt / ore divide goes right down the middle. Quite a curiosity and conversation piece, not to mention an attractive piece of jewelry in its own right. The zinc ore is, of course, highly fluorescent in short-wave UV (254 nm):
Size: Stone is about 18 x 30 mm across maximum dimensions. Pendant is about 45 mm tall (max.). Treatments: None. 100% natural stone. Origin: the rough material came from Franklin, New Jersey. The stone was cut, polished, and wirewrapped entirely in the USA. Chain sold separately - available on this page Satisfaction Guaranteed or your money back!
