HardmanŽ 04007 epoxy in "Double-Bubble"™ packages While most epoxies are rigid (like hard plastic) when they cure, Hardman Orange (04007) retains a degree of flexibility that gives it an added range of special uses. Unlike many other epoxy formulations, Hardman Orange will adhere to PVC, nylon, rubber, ABS*, fiberglass*, and polystyrene. We have seen it used to repair work shoes and boots, glue patches to work pants and coveralls, reinforce the fingertips of heavy work gloves, and perform a number of other applications that take advantage of its flexibility. The "Orange" is only a trade designation; there is no added colorant. Hardman 04007 dries gray and opaque. Single-use packages consist of resin and hardener that are squeezed out and mixed together immediately prior to use; work time is about 180 minutes (3 hours) at room temperature. Sold in bundles of 1 dozen single-use packets or in cartons of 100 single-use packets . Uncured residue can be removed with isopropyl alcohol. This epoxy sets to working strength in about 24 hours. ............................................................................................................................. 04007 Epoxy (per carton)................$112.00 Part # 04007-BX Minimum Order: 3 cartons Lead time typically 7-10 business days. Surface preparation: Surfaces to be glued should be free of oil, grease, and dirt. Metals are best prepared by roughing the surface with fine sandpaper and cleaning with acetone or alcohol before gluing. Cleanup: Uncured epoxy residue can be removed with isopropyl alcohol. Curing Temperature: this epoxy cures best at room temperature or slightly above. Do not expose Epoxy 04007 to prolonged temperatures of more than 250 degrees Fahrenheit. This epoxy takes much longer to set if the temperature is below 60 F. Safety: Do not use this or any adhesive to glue objects that could cause injury if the bond were to fail. Wear protective gloves while handling the uncured epoxy. Work in a well-ventilated area. Do not ingest epoxy or get it in the eyes. Storage: store between 50 and 80 F. The lower end of the temperature range gives somewhat better shelf life. Color & Diaphaneity: Hardman 04007 dries gray and opaque. Consistency: Viscosity when wet is comparable to that of ketchup or mustard (~50,000 cPs). Hardman 04007 is somewhat flexible when dry, yet it still provides a very strong bond. Cold weather will temporarily make the cured epoxy more rigid. Best used for all types of Steel, Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Tin, Zinc, PVC, Polystyrene, Nylon, Rubber, Stone, Wood, Glass, China & Porcelain, Leather Can also be used for: Acrylic, Polyester, ABS, Fiberglass (*Success in gluing ABS or Fiberglass may vary. ABS is notorious for being especially difficult to glue.) Not recommended for Acetate, Epoxy resins, Phenolic resins, Polycarbonate, Urethane
