These Euro boxes or Finn Boxes are identical in appearance
to the widely used "Jousi boxes" of Europe. We now have them available
here in the United States.Though these particular ones are not manufactured by Jousi Oy of Finland, they look quite like them. Rectangular shape allows fit of specimens slightly too long for a North American "Perky" thumbnail box. Slip-fit clear lid with white base.
Size is approx. 1 3/8" x 1 ½" x 1 ¼" (4.1 x 3.5 x 3.2 cm).
Sold in lots of 20 pcs each. Shipped LOOSE (see below). These are new. They are imported in bulk (loose) and may have some minor smudges & imperfections in the clear plastic, as expected from a long journey across the ocean. However, they are mighty pleasing to look at and to showcase your specimens.

Use mastic or "Mineral Tack" (coming soon) to hold specimens in place. Modeling clay can be used for short-term adhesion, but it is sometimes oily and doesn't hold well for long periods.
Important Note
The manufacturer sent us these boxes loose in one big container. We had been shipping them hand-wrapped to try providing some organization. This proved to be much too time-consuming, and we can't do it anymore.
Because the boxes arrived to us in a jumbled mess, we will continue to cull out the worst of the scratched and dinged-up boxes, just as we always have. Your order will be made up from the cleanest boxes we can find, but please understand most of them will still have some minor scratching here and there. The vast majority of people who have purchased the boxes have been happy and even returned to buy more. However, there are no returns on this particular item.
The manufacturer could have avoided the situation by putting the boxes into some kind of ordered packaging (e.g., a case of 12 or 24 pcs) as they came off the line.
Instead, they introduced entropy that we cannot cost-effectively reverse. We have no choice but to ship the boxes loose, just as they arrived to us.
Please consider our Perky Boxes or our M511 Micromount Boxes. They arrive from the factory pre-packaged. We recommend them highly.
