The Observer
II
is a student-grade compound microscope of superb quality and low
price. It is parcentered (meaning that, once the subject is
centered
in the field of view, you can switch objective lenses and it will still
be
centered) and parfocal (meaning that, once you focus on the
subject with
one lens, you can switch objective lenses and it will still be in
focus).
This
microscope is
suitable for student & educational use, from grade school through
high school. The Observer IID comes standard
with 40x,
100x, and 400x magnification. These allow you to view protozoans,
larger cells,
and a few types of bacteria.
If you
want a student
scope with more advanced features and the capability to expand up to
1000x
magnification, please take a look at the Observer
III / IV.
