Loupes are great, but stereo microscopes are even better... especially if
you spend as much time looking through a lens as we do. The stereo view
has more apparent depth and just feels more natural.
The Paragon stereo inspection microscope (could be properly
termed a “macroscope”) has superb optics for its low price and is
ideal for 3-D viewing of objects such as artifacts, mineral specimens, fossils,
insects, coins, stamps, and more. (In case you're not convinced of its quality:
we have and use Paragons and Achievers in preference to a very expensive
Swiss stereo zoom macroscope that sits collecting dust. No joke! )
* unit comes with either a 1x/3x or a 2x/4x objective; in combination with the 10x eyepieces this translates to either 10x/30x or 20x/40x; please specify prior to ordering. Paragon................$220 Manuf. suggested retail is $259. 15x Eyepieces for Paragon & Achiever...................$56 Price is per pair of eyepieces.
