75mm Petri Dish with Cover
Glass Petri Dishes, Economy... commonly used for growing cultures, holding protozoans, watching bread mold grow. Also sometimes used for letting solutions evaporate to grow crystals; staining specimens for slide preparation; or many other instances where a shallow, glass dish is required.
These petri dishes are made of crown glass (soda-lime) or flint glass ;  unlike Pyrex® they cannot withstand heat shock.  However, they can withstand autoclaving or dry sterilization as long as the temperature change is gradual and even (i.e., don't throw them into already-boiling water).  As with any glassware, don't splash cool water on them while they're still hot.
Petri dishes are fragile;  wear safety goggles at all times when handling them.
This item is not pre-sterilized.
