![]() Bottle, Polypropylene, Azlon brand, narrow mouth, 150 mL (5 oz.), medium weight, with screw-cap. Autoclavable to 130°C (266°F). Ideal for storing a variety of liquid reagents and samples (see list below). Polypropylene provides a good barrier to gases and vapors* and is highly resistant to attack by most inorganic chemicals. These semi-rigid
plastic
bottles are of very high quality, comparable to "Nalgene" or other

Chloride Perchloric
Acid Tetrahydrofuran Trichloroethylene Toluene Turpentine Xylene* The vapors of concentrated hydrogen-haloacids, ammonia, etc. seem to be able to diffuse through most plastics, given sufficient time. It is best to store concentrated HCl, HBr, and HI in glass bottles, and to store concentrated HF in bottles specifically designed for it (not glass!!!) ** Be careful storing highly odorous liquids in plastic bottles. Small amounts of vapor will inevitably diffuse through the plastic walls of the bottle. This is of course slower at reduced temperatures.
