Spot Plates for Qualitative Analysis
#1875. Re-usable or disposable white plastic spot plates
with 12 wells - great for qualitative analysis of crushed
or dissolved mineral samples. Can be considered disposable. Acid-
and alkali-resistant. Will be attacked by organic solvents such
as acetone, xylene, methylene chloride, etc; however, this item is
popular for drug testing and seems to withstand brief exposure to CHCl3,
at least enough to develop the test results.
Provides a white background against which delicate colors will show up
for various tests.

The wells are approx 21.5 mm diameter and roughly 11.5 mm deep.
1 dozen color plates per package.
Price: $6.99 per pack of 12

#1876. Porcelain Spot Plates - Glazed, White -
6 cavities- Reusable - great for qualitative chemical analysis
of crushed or dissolved mineral samples, especially when organic solvents
such as acetone must be used. Glazed porcelain wells are resistant to most
acids and reagents (except HF)*. The white
background helps visualize any colors that may form during diagnostic tests.
The back of these are unglazed. That means this item can
double as a mineral streak plate - very useful. This item
is small enough that it can be carried around in a field test kit. It
measures 5.5 x 8.5 cm. Thickness is about 1.3 cm.
The wells are approximately 20 mm diameter by 6 mm deep.
