Stoppers for laboratory glassware. Imported, may be either blue or black rubber*.
Top & Bottom Diameters give some guide as to what the stopper will fit. Ideally, the inside diameter of the flask or test tube should be about halfway between the top and bottom diameter of the stopper.
1.) These stoppers contain natural rubber, which can aggravate latex allergies.
2.) Never heat a closed container (e.g., a test tube that's been plugged with a solid stopper).
3.) These are Economy / Student grade stoppers. We make no guarantee that they will be suitable for your purpose. They are not intended for food, drug, or household use.

Allergy warning: these stoppers may contain natural rubber and could aggravate a latex allergy.
Rubber stoppers can be attacked by nitric acid at room temperature or by other acids (acetic, hydrochloric, sulfuric, etc) at elevated temperature. The rubber does appear to contain some sulfur which may come out as H2S with prolonged exposure to boiling acid vapors.
Certain organic solvents (acetone, xylene, methylene chloride, etc) will also attack rubber.
This item is for general teaching use. It is not for food, drug, or household use. We do not recommend these stoppers for precise analytical work, as they may contaminate samples with mould-release compounds / oils. It is up to the buyer to test a batch to determine suitability for his / her particular application.
